UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
HARRY S. VROCMAN, OF CHICAGO, ILLINOIS.
DESIGN FOR FIRE-BRICK.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 30,288, dated February 28, 1899;
Application filed February 3,1899. Serial No. 7045428. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HARRY S. VRooMAN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, Cook county, Illinois, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Fire-Brick, of which the following is a speci= fication, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
Figure 1 is a perspective view of a fire-brick, showing my new design. Fig. 2 is an end view of the same.
As shown in the drawings, my design for fire-brick is rhomboidal. in its general contour. It is formed wit-h the upper edge a and the lower edge a parallel, but with the crossdiameter of the former slightly greater than the corresponding diameter of the latter. The side faces b b of the brick taper throughout their Vertical diameters from the upper edge a inwardly to the lower edge a. The side face Z) is broken at a point above the center of its vertical diameter by a groove 0, which extends throughout the length of the brick and is hemispherical in cross-section. The side face I) is broken by a shoulder a, which is hemispherical in cross-section and extends throughout the length of the brick. The dimensions of the shoulder correspond exactly with the dimensions of the groove 0, and said shoulder and groove are positioned exactly opposite each other in the respective sides of the brick. The ends d, only one of which is shown, are plane and parallel and are exact counterparts of each other.
Having thus described my invent-ion, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is- The design for fire-brick, substantially as herein shown and described.
I testimony whereof I affix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
HARRY VROOMAN.
