DESIGN FOR A FASTENING-PLATE FOR UPHOLSTERY-BUTTQNS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 29,738, dated November 29, 1898. Application filed October 31. 1898. Serial No. 695,134. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, WILLIAu J. KELLY, a citizen of the l'nited States, residing at linton, in the county of Clinton and State of Iowa, haveinvented and produced a new and original Design for a Fastening-Plate for l'pholstery-Buttons, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to a new securing or fastening plate for upholstery-buttons, and is illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure 1 is a front view of the plate; Fig. 3, a rear view, and Fig. 3 a cross-section.
The leading feature of my design consists in a fastening-plate for upholstery-buttons bent or depressed transversely across one of its diameters to present two slightly-separated walls extending substantially at right angles to the face of the plate and having a perforation in the bottom of the bend or depression.
In the said drawings the reference-numcral 1 indicates the securing or fastening plate, which is bent or depressed across one of its diameters to present two slightly-separated walls 2 3, extending substantially at right anglcs to the face of the plate and having a perforation t in the bottom of the bend or depression.
My design presents a new and distinguishing appearance.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a fastening-plate for upholstery-buttons substantially as herein shown and described.
