UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
CHARLES T. RICHMOND, OF CLEVELAND, OHIO, ASSIGNOR TO THE NATIONAL CARBON COMPANY, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A JAR.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 29,534, dated. October 25, 1898.
Application filed August 18, 1898. Serial No. 688,935. Terni of patent 7 years- To all whom t may concern.-
Beit known that I, CHARLES T. RICHMOND, a citizen of the United States, residingat Cleveland, in the county of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Jars, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
The figures in the drawings are perspective views of my new design.
Figure 1 shows the jar standing on its bottom. Fig. 2 shows the jar in the same position, with a portion of it near the bottom broken away to show the interior; and Fig. 3 shows the jar bottom side up.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or material features of my design consist of the four substantially equal vertical sides A .A2 Aa A4, each of which 1ies in a plane at substantially right angles to the adjacent sides, of the bottom A, uniting said four sides at substantially right angles thereto, and of the internal vertical partitions B B', lying at right angles to each other and to the sides to which they are united, thereby subdividing the jar into four substantially equal com partments.
Having describedmy invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for a jar, as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I hereunto ax my' signature in the presence of two Witnesses.
CHARLES T. RICHMOND.
