DESIGN FOR A PRISM-PLATE.
BPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 33,562, dated November 1900- Application filed October 19, 1900- SCPlal NO. 33 661- lerm of patent, 14 years.
To all] whmn it Hwy concern:
lie it known that I, JAMES G. BROWN, a citim of the United States, residing at Cleveland, in the county of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new and original Design forPrism-Plates, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
Fign re I is a View in perspective of a prismplate em bodying my design. Figs. Hand III are views of opposite side edges of the plate.
My said design for a prism-plate comprises two series of ribs formed upon one and the same side of the plate. All of the said ribs are parallel and extend transversely of the plate. The ribs 6 of one of the series of ribs alternate with the ribs 7 of the other series of ribs. All of the said ribs project the same distance from the body portion 5 of the plate. Each rib 6 has two curved sides or faces 8 and 8, that extend from end to end of the rib and curve outwardly and con verge from the body portion. Each rib 7 has two flat and straight sides or faces 9 and 10, extending from end to end of the rib and converging from the body portion of the plate. The face 10 of each rib 7 is arranged at a greater angle to the plates body portion than the other face 9 of the said rib and consequently not as 30 wide as the said face 9.
The essential featn re of my design consists in the two series of parallel ribs formed upon one and the same side of the plate, with the ribs of one series alternating with the ribs of 35 the other series, and with straight and flat faces formed upon the ribs of one of the series of ribs and with curved faces formed upon the ribs 0! the other series of ribs.
