TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN Be it known that I, W. II. WILSON, of the city and county of Providence, and State of Rhode Island, have invented a new and improved Original Design for Good-Templar Badge; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, which willenable those skilled in the art to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part of this specification.
This invention relates to a new combination of figures or devices and colors for forming a badge or emblem for the Order of Good Templars; and the invention consists in `combining the form of a heart and the letter s, and also the colors of red, White, and blue, in an emblcmatic badge for the said Order.
The drawing represents a face view of such a badge, it being represented in the form of a shield.
The letters is in red, in the centre of the heart. The heart is in blue, surrounded by a border of white, and enclosing a white ground, upon which the S rests. The Clasped Hands and other emblems ofthe Order occupy the upper portion ofthe shield, while the words Faith, Hope, and Charity, with the Open Book and the Anchor, occupy the lo'wer portion.
The shield may be made of gold or any other suitable material, and of any form.
The heart may be of silver, raised from the ground, and enamelled with blue, if desired; and other variations as regards the arrangement of the devices and colors on the shield, and in the particular formation of the badge, may be made without affecting the main features of my invention.
