DESIGN FOR A BAGATELLE-BOARD.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 29,047, dated July 12, 1898.
Application filed January 13, 189 7. Serial No. 619,685. Term of patent 14 years.
To ctZZ whom it may concern:
1 Be it known that I, MoNTAeUE REDGRAVE, a citizen of the United States, residing at J ersey City, in the county of Hudson and State of New Jersey, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Bagatelle- Board; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof.
The drawing is a View in perspective of a bagatelle-board, showing my design.
The leading feature of my design consists in the general shape or configuration of my bagatelle-board, as shown in the drawing.
A represents the general ground, which is a rectangular parallelogram in form of the board; B, the rim, of similar outline; C, the curved guard at the upper end, and II the straight inner Wall of the alley, the parallel part of the rim forming the outer wall thereof. A plate I of rectangular outline covers a part of the alleyand its walls. In this plate is a longitudinal slot J.
Within the middle part of the board, as usual, are distributed the pockets, pins, disks, and bells proper to the game in convenient locations and numbers. The pockets are designated E, the disks F, the pins D, and the bells G.
This detail description of my design relates only to the shape, configuration, and appearance of the bagatelle-board, although the parts thereof are necessarily mentioned.
