,O ALL WHOM IT MAY CONOERN:
Be it known that I, THEODORE G. MEIER, of the city of St. Louis, county of St. Louis, State of Missouri avc originated and produced a. new Design for a. Trade-Mark, of which the following is a. full, clear, und exact escription, reference being had to the annexed drawing, making a part of thisy specification.
My design consists of the front elevation of a. three-story buiiding,l1uving a. central tower, surmounted y tbe American Hag, while in the rear, and rising above its roof, are seen a smoke-stuck and steam-pipo, disharging their respective contents. On the face of the building, above tbe second-story windows, is seen the ame St. Louis Cotton Factory," twice repeated. Above tbc building are secu tbe words, St. Louis Cotton lactory," united with fanciful scroll-work, which entirely encloses the central' figure, as shown by the drawing.
This is intended to be used in the form of an engraving; but, if used as a brand, the impression will have uch breaks in -its various parts as may be necessary to give the requisite strength to the stencil or other plate y which the impression is made.
What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
