DESIGN FOR A SPOON.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,629, dated May 17, 1898.

Application filed April 2, 1898. Serial No. 676,251. Term of patent 7 years.

To all whom it may concern:

Beit known that I, WILLIs 0. HART, a citizen of the United States, residing at Unionville, in the county of Hartford and State of Connecticut, have invented and produced a certain new and original Design for Spoons; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.

My invention has relation to a new and original design for spoons; and it consists of a spoon of the configuration and ornamentation shown in the accompanying drawing, in which I have represented the design in front elevation.

The leading feature of my design consists of a spoon the bowl of which contains a pictorial representation of the United States war-ship Maine, and the handle of which contains a portrait of Captain Sigsbee, commander of the said vessel at the time of its sinking. A scrollwork device surrounds the portrait of Captain Sigsbee, and below this scrollwork, along the edges of the handle, are ornamental projections or countersinks.

What I claim is-- The design for a spoon, as herein shown and described.
