DESIGN FOR A BRICK FOR HOT-BLAST STOVES.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,495, dated April 19, 1898.
A lication filed November 30, 1895. Serial No. 570,711. Term of patent 7 years.
'TO 00 whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, FREDERICK H. FOOTE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Bricks for Hot-Blast Stoves, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, which is a perspective view of a brick, showing my design.
The leading feature of my design consists in a body portion of the brick of rectangular shape and of a given thickness, as shown, which body portion is designated at A, one of the elongated edges being designated at B. The two end edges of the body portion A have a particular outline, as shown in the drawing, being finished in parallel ogees extending completely between the two parallel plane faces of the brick, resulting in two rounded concave grooves D, diagonally opposite each other, and two rounded convex shoulders or projections H, also diagonally opposite each other, the grooves and the shoulders being described upon similar arcs and merging one into the other without any sharp rentrant angle.
\Vhat I claim is The design for a brick for hot-blast stoves substantially as hereinbefore described.
