DESIGN FOR A SECTION-KNIFE FOR MOWING-MACHINES.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,456, dated April 5, 1898.

Application filed Ma c 3, 1897. Serial N0. 625,900- Term of patent 14 years.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, W'ARREN M. BRINKER- HOFF, a citizen of the United States, residing at Auburn, in the county of Cayuga and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Section-Knife for Mowing-lilachines; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.

My new and original design is illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure 1 represents a plan view of a sectionknife embodying my design, and Fig. 2 is a section-knife on line 2 2 of Fig. 1.

According to my design the section is formed with a butt or edge a, having at each side vertical edges 1) b, said edges 1) I) being connected with butt or edge a by downwardly-extending inclined edges 0 c. Adjacent to the front end of edges 1) l1 inclined edges (1 (I extend to the front end 6 of the knife. The inclined edges (Z (Z are beveled, as shown at ff. The section is also provided with two apertures g g, which are located adjacent to the butt or edge a.
