SAMUEL ll. BEARD AND SANDFORD ll. SllOUl, OF DAYTON, OHIO.
DESIGN FOR A FOOTSTOOL.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,201, dated January 18, 1898. A li ation filed December 16, 1897. Serial No. 662,228- Term of patent '7 years- To all whom, it may concern:
lie it known that we, SAMUEL ll. BEARD and Saxorono Ii. Snoop, citizens of the United States, residing at Dayton, in the county of Montgomery and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Footstool; and we do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming anpart thereof.
Figure l is a side elevation of a footstool, showing our new design. Fig. 2 is an end elevation. Fig. 3 is a top plan View reduced. As is shown in the drawings, the leading or material feature of our design consists of an oblong rectangular top, with legs substantially of ogee form, with their upper terminals projecting downwardly some distance away from the corners of the top of the stool.
The cushion A is secured to an oblong rectangular top 13. From the latter there is a line of spherical-shaped ornamentations C, projected downwardly from near the edge.
The legs D are secured to the said top B in line with the corners E. The said legs each have their upper half curved outwardly, as at a, and their lower half curved inwardly, as at Z). The upper extremities project downwardly in curves E, and both the upper and lower ends are offset with spherical ornamentations c. The lower ends of the legs project out beyond the corners of the stool, as is clearly shown in Fig. 3.
Having fully described our invention, what we claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for a foot-stool, as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof we affix our signatures in presence of two witnesses.
