DESIGN FOR A DISPLAY-RACK.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 27,604, dated August 31, 1897'. Application filed July 15, 1897. Serial No. 644,734. Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it 'mrru com-1 7':
Be it known that I, WILLIAM I SCOTT,a citizen of the United States, residing at Alexandria, in the county of Madison and State of Indiana, have invented a new and original Design for a Display-Rack, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a new and original design for a display rack; and it has for its object to provide a design of this character which shall be both useful and ornamental.
The leading feature of the design resides in a pair of straight parallel base-strips and a series of regularly-spaced supports of an approximate U form and spanning the space between the two strips, each of said supports having short upright side portions provided with offset, inclined, or approximately horizontal arms at their upper ends and a transverse top portion connecting said ofiset arms and bent into aV-shaped figure, which is disposed in an approximately vertical plane at right angles to the ofiset arms.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a perspective view of a display-rack embodying the hereindescribed design. Fig. 2 is a side view thereof. Fig. 3 is an end view.
Referring to the accompanying drawings, 1 I designate a pair of straight parallel basestrips provided at their upper edges with a single raised ridge 2, extendinglongitudinally from end to end thereof, and at their opposite ends with beveled faces 3. The strips 1 are connected together by a series of regularly-spaced supports 4,the terminals of which supports enter the longitudinal ridges 2 of the strips.
The supports are of an approximate U form, so as to span the space between the strips 1, and each of said supports is provided with short. upright side portions 5, having offset, inclined, or approximately horizontal arms iattheirupper ends anda transverse top portion 7, connecting the oppositelylocated arms 4;. The transverse top portion 7 of each support I is bent into a V-shaped figure, which is disposed in an approximately vertical plane at right angles to the arms l1.
\Vhat I claim is- The design for a display-rack, herein shown and described.
