DESIGN FOR A FlREPLACE-FRONT.
SPECIFICATION forming part, of Design No. 27,157, dated June 1, 1897.
Application tiled April 16,1897. Serial No. 632,516. Term of patent 7 years.

of which the following is a speciication.
This invention relates to a new and original design for lireplziee-fronts; and the leading feature of the design consists in an ornamental front of rectangular' outline surrounded by an ornamental border and having its interior divided into a series of panels of alternate open and closed work.

Said panel extends along the vertical sides and across the top of the front and may be surmounted by the band of geometrical figures IS and the ornamented cap D is a panel, subdivided by the diagonal lines (l d', with the open interiors surrounded by the scrolls (Z2. A panel A", of the saine configuration as the border, joins the vertical members of the latter, and above said panel A' is a panel E, subdivided by rows c fi' of ornamental work, subdividing said panel into a` number of diamond-shaped figures having open interiors.
Inclosed by the upper portion of the border is a panel F, having the floral ornaxnentation f.
