DESIGN FOR A COMBINED CLEAVER AND KNIFE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 27,034, dated May 11, 1897.

To (til who/it it may eons-e771 lie it known that I, Enwwnn l). \Voons, of Manchester, in the rountyof liennington and State of Vermont, have invented a certain new and original Design for a (ombined Cleaver and Knife, of which the following is a description.
Reference is to be had to the aeeompanying drawings, formiuga. part of this speeilieation, of which d innings-- Figure l is a side view of a cleaver and knife, showing my design. Fig. i is a crossseetional view taken on theline :2 30f Fig. 1.
The leading fealure of my design consists in the shape or configuration of the cleaver or knife blade as herein shown, the sides of the blade being inclined from a longitudinally central or nearly central line 00mparatively abruptly to one edge and from the same longitudinal line appreciably less abruptly to the opposite edge, the outline of the last-incntionet'l edge being appreciably rounded, while the outline of the opposite edge between points near its ends is relatively straight.
In the drawings, (L is the handle, which may be of usual contour, and b is the blade, which from a substantially longitudinally central line a is inclined comparatively abruptly on both sides to the edge (I, and from the same line is inclined on both sides appreciably more gradually t-0 the edge e. The outline of the edge (I is appreciably rounded, while the edge e from a point near its ends is relatively straight in outline.
What I claim is- The design for a combined clearer and knife, as herein shown and described.
