SPECIFICATION formingpart of Design No. 26,944, dated April 20, 1897'.
Application filed May 13, 1896. Serial No. 591,441. Term of patent 14 years.
To (all whom it may, concern:
Be it known that I, ORANGE O. OZIAS, of Dayton, in the county of Montgomery, State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new and original Design fora Graduated Bar and Casing for Computing Members of Scales, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part of the same.
In said drawings, Figure 1 is aperspective View of a graduated bar and casing for the computing member, showing my design. Fig. 2 is a similar View looking at. the opposite side. Fig. 3 is a transverse section, these three views being deemed necessary to fully illustrate my iesign.
The leading feature of my design consists .n a cylindrical casing surmounted by a graduited bar set in an inclined position.
A indicates the casing, which is cylindrical Ln general contour, and B B are the ends or heads of the casing. These are circular in general contour, but have lateral projections C and C.
The inclined graduated bar D extends between the projections 0' above the casing with its lower edge in proximity to the longitudinal opening E in the upper side of the casin g.
The projections C extend toward the rear, and between and to the rear of them is the member F, bearing the pivots for the scales, as shown by the dotted lines in Fig. 2.
What I claim is-- The design for a casing for the computing members of scales surmounted by the inclined graduated bar; as set forth.
