DESIGN FOR A SHOE.

To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that I, JOSEPH S. CUTAIAR, of Lynn, in the State of Massachusetts, have in vented and produced a Design for Boots and Shoes, of which the following is a specification.

The leading feature of my design is a novel pattern for a shoe-front, said pattern being made up of two parallel lines running the entire length of the shoe-upper front, diverging in graceful curves at their lower ends, and intersecting other curved lines projected forwardly along the vamp of the shoe from beneath the instep, said last-named lines joinin g two straight lines which project rearwardly from the point of juncture, and intersect each other so as to form approximately a W-shaped pattern.

Referring to the drawing, A represents the shoe having the pattern formed on its front, consisting of the two parallel lines a a, diverging at their lower ends at b b, and intersecting the two curved and forwardly-projected lines 0 c. Said lines 0 c join the lines d d at an angle, as shown, and these two lines d cl extend rearwardly until they intersect each other so as to form, in conjunction with the lines 0 c, a W-shaped pattern.

Having thus described my design, I clailn- The design for a shoe, as herein shown and described.
