DESIGN FOR A STOVE-LID LIFTER.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,774, dated October 22, 1895.

Application filed August 14,1895. Serial No. 559,290. Term of patent 7 years.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, FREDERICK HOHLFEL- DER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Cleveland, in the county of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new and original Design in Handles for Steve Lid Lifters, of which the following is a specification, reference being bad to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof, and which is shown as an elevation of a stove-lid lifter embodying my design.

The leading and characteristic feature of my design is the ornamental shape and outline of the said lid-lifter, having a handle with a central cylindrical stem 3 entwined its entire length, with a spiral winding 2 of uniform depth at all points, thereby presenting sides parallel to the stem 3, but standing out apart therefrom at all points and giving relief to the effect and having the semispherical head 4 with a smooth exterior flush at its base with the exterior of the said ornamental winding 2 and at the other end of the said handle formed with a head 5, terminating in the shank of the tool.

What I claim is- The design for handle for stove lid lifters, substantially as shown and described.
