DESIGN FOR A HINGE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,323, dated May 21, 1895.
Application filed January 9, 1895. Serial No. 534.383. Term of patent 7 years.
To @ZZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, WILLIAM H. BARTH, a citizen of the United States, and a residentof New York, in the county of New York and 5 State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Hinge for Tater-Closet Seats and Covers, of which the following is a specification.
My design is illustrated in isometrical pro- .Io jection in the accompanying drawinggto which reference is made, and is characterized by the following peculiarities:
The upper or top leaf Ais composed of two arms or parte which are carried upward and I5 forward and gradually approach each other at their outer or free ends where they merge into the trefol portion or extremity a; while the arms constituting the two lower leaves B B, are independent of each other and are eonzo structed of a general plate or bar form with a trefoil formation, b, at the outer extremity of each.
The securing stands C, are of a general truncated conical form, havin;r a stud like portion, c, dependingr from their lower ends, while the npperend of each is provided with a. hall-like head, c.
The pin or pinile l)` is made as a round bar or rod, and isprovided al each of its ends .with an enlarged polygonally shaped head,
