SPECIFICATION formingpart of Design No. 24,045, dated February 19, 1895.

Application filed January 19, 1395- Serial No. 535,564- Term of patent 14 years.

T0 and whom it may concern.-

Be it known that I, PALMER COX, a citizen of the United States, residing in the city, county, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Book-Covers, of which the foliowingis aspecification.

The leading feature of my design consists in a book-cover ornamented substantially as represented in the accompanying drawings, formingpart thereof, which show abook-cover embodying my design, the front thereof being, shown in Figure 1, and the back in Fig. 2.

In the drawings (Fig. 1) A represents a house with an arch B from which peers a brownielike face, and which is surmounted by series of oriel windows a (t a a in which brownie-like faces 0 c c 0 appear. On either side of the arch is a window (Z d in which a brownie-like face c 6 appears.

In Fig. 2, which represents the back of the book, a is a scroll set up in a landscape and flanked by trees orshrnbs b'b and by brownielike figures 0' c, and having brownie-like figures d (l in the foreground.

\Vhat I claim is- The design for a book-cover, substantially as herein shown and described.
