SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 22,193, dated February '7, 1893.
To all whom t may concern.-
Be it known that l, JOSEPH 1EES,a citizen of the United States, residing at New York, in the county and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Rings, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings.
This design has for its object to provide a novel and ornamental finger ring and it consists in a finger ring provided with a setting and having at each side the representation of a spread eagle interposed between the shank of the ring and the setting. so that the latter appears as supported by the representation of the spread eagle.
The design is illustrated by the accompanying drawings in which Figure 1, showsa side elevation of the ring. Fig. 2, is a view looking through the ring.
In the drawings the letter A indicates the shank of the ring and B is the setting. At
the junction between the shank and the sotting is an ornament C in the forni of the conventional representation of a spread eagle resting ou a representation D of the globe all in such manner that the setting appears as supported by the representation of the spread eagle.
'lhe design provides a novel and ornamental ring which presentsadistinguishing and characteristic appearance to the eye.
What l claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is The design for a ring substantially as shown and described.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
