DESIGN FOR AN OlL-CAN.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design N0. 21,984, dated November 8. 1892.
Application filed September 19, 1892 Serial No. 446,336- Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, WILLIAM G. llINE, a citizen of the United States,and a resident of Youngstown, county of Mahoning, State of Ohio,have invented and produeeda new and original Design for Oil-Cans, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being, had to the accompanying drawing, making part of this specification.
The accompanying drawing is a View in perspective of an oil-can illustrating, my de sign.
A represents the body of the can, which is cylindrical in form, having vertical sides, or substantially so, as shown, at the upper end of which is a dome or head B. The diameter of the dome at the base a is less than the diameter of the can. A right-angled portion or flange 1) extends from the base of the dome to the wall of the can, the outer portion of the flange raised to a position parallel with the side of the can, forming an annular groove (1 about the base of the dome. The outer edge of the flange is turned over and down upon the outside of the can. At the top of thedome and about central thereto is shown a cap (1. Between the cap and the side of the can is shown an outward projection e.
The leading features of the design are the cylindrical vertical-sided can A, the dome-top B, annular groove 0, the cap d, central to the dome, the outward projection e, and the bail C.
What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for an oil-can, as herein described and shown.
