DESIGN FOR RUFFLING.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 21 ,262, dated December 22, 1891.

Application filed November 80, 1891. Serial No. 413,600. Term of patent 3%; years.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, CHARLES GREY HILL, a subject of the Queen of Great Britain, residing at Nottingham, in the county of Nottingham, England, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Rufiiing, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.

Figure 1 is a front elevation of a rufiling embodying the features of the design, and Fig. 2 is a rear elevation thereof.

The design consists of the ornamental figures A, arranged in longitudinal grouping and covering the edge of a body-section B, simulatinga. strip of fabric. The ornamental figu res are located diagonally upon the body figure and in contact with each other, concealing the upper edge of the body. \Vhen viewed separately in front elevation, the ornamental figures have a hollow cylindrical appearance, and their lower ends stand out from the body, disclosing what is seemingly a portion of the interior, and the front exterior surfaces of the ornaments are given a ribbed eifect. 1V hen the ornaments are viewed from the rear. they simulate the inner faces of ribbed shells.

I claim- A design for rufiiing, substantially as herein shown and described.
