DESIGN FOR A BUCKLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 21,037, dated September 15, 1891.
Application filed .Tune 3, 1891. Serial No. 394,996. Term of patent 7 years.

Beit known that I, J AMES WinsoN IIARRIss, a citizen ofthe United States, residing at (lanton, in the county ol'Stark and State of Ohio,
5 have invented a new and original Design for aRein-Bnckle, of which the following is a specification.
The invention relates to a new and original design for buckles.
1o The object of the present invention is to provide au ornamental and attractive buckle which will add to the appearance of harness.
The essential feature resides in the particular configuration of the buckle and the 15 relative disposition of the parts thereof.
Figure l is a perspective View ot' a buckle, showing my new design. Fig. 2 is a side view of the saine. Fig. 3 is a reverse plan View.
zo Referring to the accompanying drawings, 1 designates a buckle consisting of side bars 2, end bars 3, connecting the side bars, a cross-bar i, and a tongue 5. The side bars are curved and have convex lower edges. and
25 concaved upper edges, and the ends of the side bars are convexly curved on their upper edges, and the end bars which connect the side bars have curved upper faces conforming to the conguration of the ends of the side bars andare flushed with the same. VVbat I claim is The design for buckles herein shown and described, the same consisting of the curved 4o side barshaving convex lower edges and concave upper edges, the upper edges at the ends of the bars being convexly curved, the end bar having curved upper faces arranged flush with the upper edges of the side bars 45 and conforming to the coniiguration of the same, the cross-bar arranged between the side bars and having a curved lower face and provided with a seinicircnlar enlargement, and the tongue, as set forth. 5o
