SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 20,311, dated November 18, 1890.

Application flied October 20, 1890. Serial No. 368,744. Term of patent 3% years.

To all whom it may concern.-

.Be it known that I, J AMES L. FoLsoM, of the city of Brooklyn, county of Kings, and State of New York, have invented a new and original Design for Carpets, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying photograph, which forms a part of the same.

The invention relates to a design to be worked into or upon surfaces, such as carpets or similar fabrics; and it consists in the novel configuration and grouping of figures herein specifically shown and claimed.

The accompanying photograph is a face view of a carpet showing my new design.

My design consists of the body A and borderB. The body A consists of groups of conventionalized shaded somewhat rose-shaped forms at intervals and interspersed between JAS. L. FOLSOM.
