SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 20,308, dated November 18, 1890.

To all whom, it may concern.-

Be it known thatI, JAMES L. FoLsoM, of the city of Brooklyn, county of Kings, State of New York, have invented a new and original 5 Design for Carpets, of which the following is a specification, reference beinghad to the accoinpanying photograph, which forms a part of the same.

The invention relates to a design to be 10 worked into or upon surfaces, such as carpets or similar fabrics; and it consists in the novel configuration and grouping of figures herein specifically shown and claimed.

The accompanying photograph is a face 15 View of a carpet showing my new design.

My design consists of the body A and border B. The body A consists of groups of somewhat star-shaped flowers with leaves partially surrounded by creseentsof conventionzo alized flower formsand byirregularline decobody A and border ll, substantially as shown. 3 5
