DESIGN FOR AN ESCUTCHEON,&.C.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 20,138, dated September 9, 1890.

To all whom it may concern:
3e it known that l, \VILLIAM ll. FREY- FOGLE, a citizen of the United States, residing at llaverstraw, in the county of ltockland and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Combined Escutcheon,Rose, and Knob; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying photographic view, and to letters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
Referring to said photograph, which represents a view in perspective of an escutcheon, rose, and knob showing my design, and is deemed suflicient to fully illustrate the same, A indicates the escutcheon, and B the knob.
The leading features of my design consist in the peculiar ornamentation of the surface of the several parts, as herein set forth, and embodied in the claim.
In the view, a indicates border surrounding the edge of the con.
1) indicates a raised oblong bar extending a raised scalloped escutch- 1390. Serial No.360.425. Term of patent 7 years.
through the center from the rose toward the lower end of the escuteheon and branching 3o oif at each side both top and bottom, and at the lower extremities thereof into a raised vine-like ornamentation c, which extends to the lower end of the escutcheon. The upper extremity of said bar breaks into a raised ring d, which encircles the rose, and above the latter and extending to the upper end of the escutcheon is also a raised vine-like ornamentation e, similar to that at the lower end. The sunken surfaces of the escutcheon-plate and the rose are embossed to represent spiderwebs f. The knob is circular in form and plane, except the front, which has a sunken embossed web like surface g and a raised vine-like ornamentation h thereon, all as shown.
What I claim is- The design for an escuteheon, rose, and knob herein shown and described.
