DESIGN FOR A PHOTOGRAPHIC ALBUM.

SPECIFICATION forming part Of Design No. 20,000, dated July 1, 1890.

Application filed May 24, 1890- Serial No. 345,165- Term of patent 3% years.

To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that 1, MICHAEL F. llARTE, a citizen of the United States, residing in the city of Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Photograph-Albums, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.

[0 Figure 1 is a view in perspective of an album when closed, showing my design. Fig. 2 is a view of a single leaf or page of an album when open, showing my design. Fig. 3 is a view in perspective of an album when open, I5 showing two leaves, these three views being deemed necessary to fully illustrate mydesign.

The leading feature of my design consists in the album, which is in the form of a seallop-shell of a bivalve mollusk, and which may stand with the back of the album longitudinally on a base or easel. Said album may also have the shape or appearance of such shell on the inside as well as on the outside, thus retaining said shape or appearance both when it is opened and closed.

shown in Figs. 1 and 23. The inside leaves 0 C have similar scallops h I) 11 on their outer edges, and may be ornamented so as to present the appearance of the inside of a shell of a bivalve mollusk.

The frames e v e, for holding the photographs, may be placed in such position that their longer sides will be at right angles to the back of the album, as shown in Fig. 3, or so that such longersides shall be parallel with the back, as in Fig. 2.

The base or easel B is rectangular and oblong, being of sufficient width to support the album in an upright position. The base or easel tapers upward from its bottom part, both at its sides and ends, toward its point of junction with the album, and is of little height. The base or easel may have its end and side surfaces formed into a number of longitudinal scallops or outward curves (1 I? (1, go as shown.
