DESIGN FOR A SLEEVE-BUTTON, 81,0.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, EDWARD I. BEACH, a citizen of the United States, residing at Newark, in the county of Essex and State of N cw Jersey, have invented and prod need a new and original Design for Sleeve-Buttons and other Similar Articles; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to letters of reference marked thereon, which form a. part of this specification.
In said drawings, Figure 1 represents a face or plan view of my design fora sleevebutton and other similar articles, and Fig. 2 is a. side or edge view of the same, similar letters of reference indicating corresponding parts whore they occur.
These two views are deemed sufficient to fully illustrate my design, the leading feature of which consists in the peculiar configuration presented in the surface or face of the sleevehntton or other article, as will be hereinafter set forth and claimed.
Refcrri ng to said drawings, I: and c in dicate l two wire-like structures or parts formed into or presenting a series of convolniions and curvatn res intersecting and intertwining with one another in npeculiar manner or form, the part c presenting the appearance of a heavy line forming a. series of arcs of a circle at the outcredgc of the design, which intersect with and cross one another, terminating in a serics of curvatures of an ovate form at the central portion of the design, and the part- I) presenting in a, smaller line than an series of rings encircling said arcs and connected by lines a, which pass through thesaid figures of an ovate form, a space being left open at the center for the reception of a gem or other ornam ent, if desired, as will be seen and understood npon reference to Fig. 1.
