DESIGN FOR A LOCK-TRIMMING.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 19,505, dated December 17, 1889.
Application filed November 18, 1889 Serial No. 330,804. Term of patent 7 years.

Be it known that we, HENRY \V. GEBAUER and ILLIAM H. JOHNSON, citizens of the United States, residing at Cleveland, in the conntyot Cuyahoga and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Look-Trinunings, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.
The figure is a view in perspective.
The leading features of our new design are, first, groundwork of raised flowers on lockfront, escuteheon, and knob; second, a border of raised Work representing a cable extending around the edges of lock-front and cscutcheon; third, a funnelshaped concavity located at the center of-the knob-face, the walls of such concavity being ribbed and terminatingin a button or acorn at the apex, and having raised work representing a cable extending around the base of such concavity.
A represents the look-front, having groundwork a of raised flowers, and having a cable border a.
B represents the eseuteheon, the same hav ing groundwork b of raised flowers, and a cable border I).
0 represents the knob, the same having raised Work at G representing flowers, and having a funnel-shaped depression at c, the
walls thereof being ribbed at c and teripinating in a button or acorn c Raised work representing a cable (2 extends around the base of the funnehshaped depression.
hat we claim is- 1. In a design for look-trimmings, the lockfront,the face of which is ornamented with a groundwork of raised flowers, as shown.
2. In a design for lock-trimmings, the ornamentation of the escutcheon-plate, consisting of. a groundwork of raised flowers surrounded by raised Work representing a cable, as shown.
3. In a design for lock-trimmings, the or namentation of the knob, consisting, of a fun nel-shaped depression at the center of the face of the knob, the walls of such depression being ribbed and terminating in a button or acorn at the apex of the depression, and a raised work representing flowers around the face of the knob outside of the depression, as shown.
