DESIGN FOR AN ALBUM COVER OR CASE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 20,343, dated November 18, 1890.

Application filed October 14, 1890. Serial No. 368,127. Term of patent 7 years.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that we, HILARIUS PATTBERG and EDUARD BRODHAG, citizens of the United States, residing at Jersey City, in the county of Hudson and State of New Jersey, have invented and produced a new and original De sign for an Album-Cover, as herein shown and described, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof, which shows a perspective view of an albumcover of our design.

Our design consists of an album-cover,l1erein shown and dGSOIib6l,0f essentially the configuration and ornamentation as illustrated in the accompanying drawing. 7

A represents a rectangularshaped base with the rounded projections a. a.

B is one of the rectangular end pieces placed perpendicular to the base A and at one end thereof.

0 is a rectangular lid placed above the end pieces B and the rectangular back piece D.

E is a rectangular front piece having a bulge 1), extending midway across said piece E, the upper edge of said bulge being rounded and the lower edge angular, as shown. At the lower extremity and at either end of said front piece E are two more smaller bulged pro jections (Z (I.

F is an ornament placed upon the upper face of the front piece E, said ornament being rhombic with a circular center and with sets of lines radiating therefrom toward the corners and having square fields between said sets of radial lines. Suspended from the center of the central circular field is a ring.

G is an ornament on the side B of quarterfoil shape and having a ring at the center of said piece. Around the sides and front lower edge of the base A is an ornamental strip H. Around the edge of the front piece E above the bulge b and around the edge of the bulge b is another ornamental strip I.

What we claim is- 1. The design for the configuration of an album-cover, herein shown, the same consisting of the base A, the end piece B, the lid 0, the back piece D, and the bulged front piece E, substantially as shown and described.

2. In a design for an album-holder, the combination of the base A, with the ornamental strip H, the side piece B, with the quarterfoil ornament G, the lid C, the back D, and the bulged front piece E, with the ornamental strip I and the rhombic ornament F, having the plain center, the radiating sets of lines, and square fields between said sets of radiating lines, all substantially as shown and described.
