THEODORE B. STAYNER, OF PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND.
DESIGN FOR A WATCH CHARM OR PENDANT.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 19,102, dated May 14, 1889.
Application filed April 12, 1889. Serial No. 307,036. Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, THEODORE B. STAYNER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Providence, in the county of Providence and State of Rhode Island, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Charms or Pendants, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
Figure 1 is a front view of a charm or pendant showing my design. Fig. 2 is a sectional View of the same on a perpendicular line through the center.
The leading feature of my design consists in a circular rim projecting from the edge of the disk, forming the back of the charm or pendant, a central cylindrical projection, and two projecting rims concentric with the outer rim, forming part of a circle, the openings in these rims being in opposite directions, as will be more fully set forth hereinafter.
In the drawings, a is the disk forming the back of the charm or pendant.
b is the ring by which the same is secured to a chain or band.
0 is a raised rim projecting from the edge of the circular back a.
d is the central cylindrical projection.
e is a projecting rim forming part of a circle, leaving the opening g between the ends of the rim 6. The rim f also forms part of a circle, leaving the surface of the back plain at the space 71. The spaces between the rims cc f and the central cylindrical projection, d, are of equal width, forming three concentric spaces broken by the spaces h and g, which are placed in opposite directions.
\Vhat I claim is- The design for a charm or pendant herein shown and described, the same comprising the circular rim 0, the rims e and f, each forming part of a circle, and the central cylinder, d, projecting from the back a and forming annular spaces united in pairs at the points g and h, the disk-shaped back a, and ring I), as set forth.
