DESIGN FOR A FINGER-RING.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 22,676, dated August 8, 1893.
Application filed June 3, 1893. Serial No. 476,522. Term ofpatent 3% years.
To all whom it 17mg concern:
Be it known that I, MAURICE L. POWERS, a citizen of the United States, residing at New York, county of New York, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Finger-Rings, of which the following is a specification, reference being bad to the accompanying drawings, showing a part thereof.
Figure 1, is a perspective front view of a ring, showing my design. Fig. 2, is an elevation of the ring, as it appears it cut across in its rear section, relative to Fig. 1 and straightened out.
The leading feature of my design consists in a ring simulating two pairs of serpents, each pair being shown as intertwined with each other. Their heads are all represented as facing toward a common center and have the appearance of holding in their months the setting. Two of the serpents, one of each pair, are shown as having scales. The other two serpents have the appearance of being smooth skinned. The rear portions of the bodies of all of the serpents are represented as formed into the shape of a ring or band.
Reterrin g to the drawings, A represents the setting held in the mouths of the serpents.
B represents the serpents the bodies whereof have the'appearance of being scaly.
(J represents the two serpents, the bodies whereof have the appearance of being smooth.
D, D, D, D illustrate the eyes of the serpents. They are illustrated to represent small stones or jewels.
E is the rear or band part of the ring.
I claim The design for a finger ring herein shown and described.
Signed at New York, in the county of New York and State of New York, this 31st day of May, A. D. 1893.
