SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 19,056, dated April 23, 1889.

the remaining portion of the blade being rendered distinctive from the triangular portion. That portion contained within the lines a b a b is raised above and distinctive from those portions contained within the lines a b, b c, c a, as clearly shown in the drawing, which represents a plan or side view of an ax embodying my design.

The ax shown in the drawing is such a one as forms the subject-matter of an application for Letters Patent filed by me simultaneously herewith and covering the details of construction.

\Vhat I claim is The design for axes herein shown and described, comprising the distinctive central approximately triangular portion contained within the lines a b a b, and the adjacent contrastin g portions of the blade connecting with the flat head portion, as shown by lines a. b, b c, o a, as set forth.
