DESIGN FOR A HANDLE FOR BRUSHES, 80C.
SPECIFICATION forming* part of Design No. 18,975, dated March 26, 1889.
Application filed February 16, 1889. Serial No. 300,170. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom t may concern:
Be it -known that I, HENRY BERRY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Shelton, in the County ol' Fairfield and State of Connecticut, have invented and produced a eertain new and original Design 'for a Handle `for Brushes and Like Articles7 of which the t'ollowing,` is a speeieation, referenee being had to the aeeonipaiiiying` drawing, which forms a part thereof, and which shows a plan view oli a handle shaped and ornamented in Conformity with my design.
The leading and distinctive features ol' my design eonsist in the shape or outline oli' the handle and in the several series of bead-like figures which appear upon the su rfaee thereof. At its top portion, a, the handle is enlarged and rounded in outline, one side thereoll being Curved somewhat more sharply than the other, and from this enlarged portion the handle is Curved downward, diminishing in size meanwhile. Near its bottom endit is enrved outwardly, as at b, and then the extremity is turned upwardly and is eonvolved, as at fr, to iorm the linished extremity ol the handle. Upon the snrfaee of the handle appear representations oit' beaded figures d, whieh Cross the handle Vfrom side to side in sinuousl lines.
I elaim- The desi gn t'or handles for brushes and sim ilar articles, as herein shown and deseribed, the same beinel enlarged at its top portion and curved and tapered thenee downward, and having its extremity eonvolved and turned upwardly, and the snrlaee of said handle havingr thereon the sinn o ns beaded Iigures extending' aeross its surt'aee, as speeilied.
