SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 18,609, dated September 1l, 1888.

Be it known that I, AMos A. SOUTHWICK, a citizen of the United States, residing at Ash-` tabula, in the county of Ashtabula and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a. new and original Design for Badges; and I dodeclanethe following to` be a` fulil, clear, and exacti description oi the same, reference being` had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof, and in which- Figure` 1 is an elevation of one side of a campaign-badge showing my design, a-nd Fig. 2 is a. similar elevation taken from the reverse side of the badge.

The leading feature of my design consists of the'representation of a coat or an overcoat with a ribbon above said coat.

1n the drawings, A is the body of the coat,

having a band, a, at its upper end, and B B' the two sleeves extending at an angle from opposite sides of said body near the upper end.

C is the ribbon, which is connected to a raised strap, D, (seen in Fig. 2..) This ribbon is represented as tied into a bow, as shown.

What I claim is.-\
