Be it known that I, EDWARD POOLE, of the city of New York, county of New York, and State of New York, have invented a new and 5 original Design for Carpets, of which the following is a. specification, reference being bad to the accompanying photograph,which forms a part of the same.

The invention relates to a design to be IO worked into or upon surfaces, such as carpets or similar fabrics; and it consists in the novel configuration and grouping of figures herein specifically shown and claimed.

The accompanying photograph is a face [5 view of a carpet showing my new design.
