DESIGN FOR A CARD OR LETTER RACK.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 18,519, dated August 14. 1888.
Application filed June 23, 188B. Serial No. 278,052. Term of pateut' years.
To @ZZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, THOMAS ALDIN GRAB- TREE, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Bangor, in the county of Penobseoti and State of Maine, have invented a certain new and original Design for Card-Files; and I do declare the following to bea full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enableothcrs skilled in the art to which itap.- pertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to letters or figures of reference marked thereon,which form a part of this specification.
Figurel of the drawings is a representation of this invention, and is a frontiview. Fig. 2 is a side view.
The invention relates to a new and original design in wire card or letter racks; and it oonsists in the novel form and configuration, as hereinafter set forth and illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
Referring to the drawings, A designates the rack, having the surface configuration representing a rope.
B represents the parallel sidesof the frame,
and C C the outwardly-curved top and botf tom thereof. The eye D at the top C is formed with the twisted shank E, as shown, and an eye, F, is formed at the bottom by turning the central portion of the curve C outward.
G designates the pockets or racks springing from the sides B by a shortrope-like portion, H, and having the inner ends terminating in a. eonivolnlte curve, I, on a plane with the sides B. The pocket G stands out from the sides B, and is bent upwardly in a semicironlar form.
Having described the design, I claim- The design for a cardrack herein shown and described, the saine consisting of the parallel sides, the outwardlyturned ends, and the pockets springing from the sides and having the inner ends turned in a oonvolute form, the whole having the surface configuration of a rope.
