DISK FOR ms]: HARROWS.
No. 16,819. Patented July 27, 1886.
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
CHARLES LA DOW, OF ALBANY, NE\V YORK.
DESIGN FOR A DISK FOR DlSK-HARROWS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 16,819, dated July 27, 1886.
Application filed January 7, 1886. Serial No. 188,265.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, CHARLES LA DOW, a citizen of the United States, residing at Albany, in the State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Orna mental Design for Disks for Disk-Harrows. of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
Figures 1, 2, and 3 are elevations of my newly-designed corrugated disk. Fig. 4 is an edge view illustrating such design. Fig. 5 is a front view of a slightly-modified design possessing the general characteristics of the design shown in Figs. 1, 2, and 3. Fig. 6 is a front elevation, and Fig. 7 is a sectional view, of a modification of my design.
My newly-designed disks for harrows are formed with corrugated surfaces. Looking at the views in elevation, Figs. 1, 2, and 3, the surface of the disk shows radial corrugations arranged around a central openingin the disk, which give a new ornamental appearance to the disk.
In Fig. 1 the corrugations are in true radial Term of patent 14 years.
around the central opening in the disk. As will be observed, the same general ornamental appearance is maintained. In Fig. 5 the corrugations do not. extend quite to the edge of the disk.
The ornamental corrugated appearance of the disk may be attained by forming conceno trio corrugations around the central opening, as shown in Figs. 6 and 7.
The corrugations may be of any suitable depth to produce the general ornamental appearance described and illustrated.
In Figs. 1, 2, 3, 4.. and 5 all the corrugations shown may, generally speaking, be said to be radial.
' I claim as my invention- 1. The herein described and illustrated ornamental design for disks for disk-barrows, consisting of a conoavo-convex disk having a centralopening therein, and corrugations, substantially such as shown and described.
2. The herein-described ornamental design for disks for disk-barrows, consisting of a concavo-convex disk having a central opening therein, and corrugations which extend from the central part of the disk outwardly in radial lines, substantially as shown and de- 60 scribed.
CHARLES LA DOW.
