To alll whom it may concern:
Be it known that we, J OIIN C. BURNELL and JOHN MEYER, the former of Cincinnati, in the County of Hamilton and State ofOhio, and the latterofCovington,Kenton county, Kentucky, have invented anew and useful Design for a Sign; and we do hereby declare the follow ing to be a full, clear,l ndI exact description 0f said invention, refe ence heilig had to the accompanying drawing, und to the letters or figures of reference marked thereon, which form a part Of this specification.
The design consists of a truncatedconeshaped or longitudinally-rounded projection from a. plane base, d, composed of annular walls divided into longitudinal sections repre senting stoves a a, circular bands at alittle distance from each other; representing hoops d d, and a circular end inserted within the walls and at a little distance from the outer end of the walls, representing the head of a keg, all of which represents and configures a section of a keg, including-.the head, and'not cxceedingcne-half the length of the keg, with its inner larger end affixed to a base, d.
What we claim is- The design for a sign shown and described herein', consisting'of a configuration and representation in alto-relieve ofthe end and surface of a cross-section'of a keg or cask having staves a a, hoops b b, and a head, c, aixed at its inner and larger end to a plane base or background, d.
