SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 16,565, dated March 9, 1886.

Application filed December 18, 1885. Serial No. 186,096. Term of patent 7 years.

PHILLIPPs.a l of scroll-work, and with the top and bottom citizen of the United States, residing at Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for MemorialT-abletsmf which the following is a specification, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawings.

The leading feature of my design consists in the representation of a cross having a wreath in the center, a series of rays diverging from each inner angle of the. cross, and above the cross is an ornamentation, as shown; but this may sometimes be omitted without altering the leading feature of the design. Surrounding the wholeis a border, which consists of a running vine inclosed between lines with the cenlines of the border curved in the centers, as 20 shown.

What I claim as new is- The. memoriahtablet herein shown and described,consisting of the representation of a cross with a wreath in the center, rays at the 25 inner angles of the cross, and a border inclosing the whole.
