DESIGN FOR A LINK-LIFTER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 15,608, dated December 9, 1884.
Application filed September 24, 1884. Term of patent 14 years.

which is a View in perspective of a link-lifter for car-couplings having my new design.
A indicates the crossbar of the bail or lifter, of flat configuration on its face, and straight or nearly straight in direction of its length, and B B the arms thereof, also of flat configuration on their faces, but curved and straight in direction of their length, the same presenting a straight-edge contour for a given distance at their inner ends, a a, and a graceful curved-edge contour for their continuous portions b b, bowing outward away from one another and vanishing at their outer ends, 0 c, 25 into line with the bar A, as shown.
Having thus described my design, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent The within-described design for a link- 30 lifter for car-couplings, which consists of the cross-bar A, of flat configuration on its face, and straight or nearly straight in direction of its length, and the arms B B, also of flat configuration on their faces, with their main'por 5 tions b b made to present reverse-curved contours terminating at their inner ends, a a, in straight lines or courses, and vanishing at their outer ends, 0 0, into line with the crossbar, as shown.
