UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE "1 DESIGN FOR AN AIRPLANE Edward H. Heinemann and Leo J. Devlin, Los Angeles, Calif., assignors to Douglas Aircraft Company, Inc., Santa Monica, Calif.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that we, Edward H. Heinemann and Leo J. Devlin, citizens of the United States and residents of Los Angeles, in the county of Los Angeles and State of California, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for an Airplane, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof:

Figure 1 is a bottom perspective View of an airplane in flight showing our new design;

Figure 2 is a side elevational view of the subject airplane depicted in Figure 1 with the landing gear extended;

Figure 3 is a top plan View of the airplane depicted in Figures 1 and 2; and

Figure 4 is a front elevational view of the airplane depicted in Figures 1, 2, and 3 with the landing gear extended.

We claim:

The ornamental design for an airplane, substantially as shown.
