DESIGN FOR A QUILTED LINING.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 14,237, dated August 2, 1883. Application filed July 21, 1883. Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom/ it may concern:
Be it known that I, AUGUs'r BECK, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a new and original Design for Quilted Lining, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, making part of this specification, which represents the nature of my design.
The object of this invention is to furnish a novel design for quilted lining; and it consists of a quilted lining stitched in figures having a V-shaped point, parallel sides, and lateral end, that form the connection with the next figure.
A in the drawing represents a quilted lining in which the quilting is produced by a number of parallel lines of stitches, B, that form pointed figures, each of which is composed of a V-shaped point, a, parallel sides 12 b, and
lateral inclined ends (I d. The figures formed by the parallel lines of stitches produce continuous panels or moldings between said lines, that impart an ornamental character to the quilting.
Having thus described my invention,1 claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent A design for quilted lining, composed of a series of pointed figures on the lining, each figure having aV-shaped point, parallel sides, and laterally-inclined ends, substantially as shown and described.
