DESIGN FOR JEWELRY.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 12,075, dated December 21, 1880.

Application led November 9, 1880. Term of patent 7 years.

To all whom it may concern: c

Be it known that I, GEORGE HARTJE, a citizen ofthe United States, residing at New York, in the county and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Designi for Jewelry, et' which the following' is a speeitieation, reference beingl had to the aceompanying` drawing, forming part thereof'.

My design consists. in the combination of a representation ot the moon with that ot' a cow, the eow being` shown in the aet et' jumping over the moon.

The aceompanyim` drawing.;` shows a front View ot' my design.

In this drawing the letter A designates the representation of the moon, and B designates the representation ot' a eow in the aet ot'j umping' over the moon.

In the example represented by the drawing my design is shown as applied to a scarfpin; but itis obvious that the same ean be applied with equal advantage to breast-pins, ear-rings, lace-pins, and other articles otjewelry.

What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

A new ornamental design for `jewelry, e011- sisting of a representation Ot' the moon in combination with the representation of a cow, the cow being shown in the act of jumping over the moon, as shown and described.
