DESIGN FOR A KEY-BOW.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 12,050, dated December '7, 1880.
Application tiled September 27, 1880. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, GEORGE S. BARKEN- TIN, a citizen of the United States, residing at New Britain, in the county of Hartford and State of Connecticut, have invented and produced anew and original Design forKey-Bows, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying wood engraving, forming part thereof.
The leading feature of my design consists in a semicircular bow resting upon a horizontal paneled bar and inclosing two conventional fern-leaves springing from the center of the base and inclining to the right and left hand, as hereinafter more fully described.
On the shank ofthe key is placed a horizontal bar, A, having a sunken and ribbed panel. Above this bar and resting upon its dat side is the semicircular bow B, which incloses two conventional fern-leaves, C C, springing from the center and inclining to the right and left hand, and lling the corners. Each of these leaves is intersected by a sunken line, ribbed as shown.
I claim- The design for a key-bow herein shown and described, the saine consisting` ot' the horizontal bar A, the sernicircnlar bow B, inclosing the two conventional fern-leaves C C, inclining to the right and left hand and filling the corners, said leaves being intersected by snnken ribbed lines.
