Letters Patent No. 99,718, dated Februm'y 8,1870.
IMPROVE!) TOAST-RACK.
The Schedule inferred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same I, DANIEL SHnRwooD, of Lowell, in the county of Middlesex, and State of Massachusetts, have invented a new andlimproved Toast-Rack, of which the following is a. spe'ccation.
Nature and Objects of the Invention.
My invention relates to racks for holding toast upon the table, formed of twisted wire, constructed as an improvement upon the toast-rack patented toy me, July 13, 41869; and
My invention consists in so combining and arranging the parts of which the rack is composed, that a stronger, cheaper, and better article is produced, as
will be hereafter fully setrforth.
Description of the Accompanying Drawings.
Figure 1 is a perspective view of my invention. Figure 2 is a view in detail, showing the manner in which the several parts are united.
Geneal Description.

The curved segments C, which form the compartments 'of the rack, 4are united to the frame A by the ends of each segment being bent to embrace the frame,

The'legs Bare formed of a single piece' of' wire in pairs, as clearly shown in the drawings, and th'e ends ol' the wire are bent into a cuxve, b, which embraces the iame A. Y

I claim `the toast-mok, constructed of twisted wire, composed of the fi'anie A and E, the legs B, the segments O, and handle D, united together substantially as described and specified. o
