Be it known that I, JOSEPH K. ALLsnoUsn, a citizen of theUnited States of America, residing at Clarion, in the county of Clarion and State of l ennsylvania, have invented new and usefulImprovemei'its in Nose-Bags, of which the following is a specification.

This invention relates to nose bags, and has for an object to provide a device of this character that can be supported by a wheel of a vehicle, means being provided whereby the bag is adjustable to vehicle wheels of different sizes.

My improved nose bag consists of a bag support 1 consisting preferably of companion semi-circular members 2 and 8. The terminals of the member 2 are formed to provide eyes 4 for receiving the looped portions 5 adjacent to the terminals of the member 3. The engagement with each other of the eye and the loop portions described is such that the members may be folded to lie on each other so that the bag can be folded to assume a very compact package. The terminals of the member 3 are formed to provide diametrically opposite stops 6 which are adapted to be engaged with the member 2 at points adjacent to the eyes t thereof so as to hold the member 3 substantially in a plane with the member 2 when the bag is applied to the wheel A as shown in Fig. 1 of the drawing.

The members just described are each formed preferably from a single length of wire, and as illustrated, the member 2 is Specification of Letters Patent.

formed to provide spaced horizontally disposed arms 7 which rest upon the rim of the wheel, as shown. The member is looped to provide a series of hooks S which are arranged in step manner so that each hook is of a different size thereby accoi'nmodating vertical adjustment of the members 2 and so that they can be supported upon wheels having fellies of different sizes or thickness.

A retainer 9 is supported by the wheel and it consists preferably of a single length of wire formed to provide a horizontally disposed hook 10 which is engaged with the spoke of the wheel adjacent to the folly. This retainer is looped to provide a horizontally disposed series of vertical hooks 11 which are adapted to be engaged with the hooks 8 of the member 2. In view of the construction of the retainer 9 it will be understood that the member 2 may be adjusted horizontally on the w ieel accordingly to the transverse diameter of the felly so as to cause the bag to perfectly fit upon the wheel and to be accinrately supported thereby. The bag 12 may be of any suitable well known design, but as illustrated it is formed to provide a hem 13 for receiving the members and 3 hereinbefore described.

The construction of the nose bag herein described is extremely simple and is constructed with a view of enabling the operator to conveniently attach the same to the wheel of the vehicle when the animal is detached therefrom.

This may represent a portion of a fence or a portion of a sled bed. The portion 15 of the member 2 is adapted to be engaged with the opposite side of the object B so as to rigidly support the nose bag.

I claim:
