To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, FREDERICK P. One, a citizen of the United 'States, resident of Beauchamp, Province of Saskatchewan, Dominion of Canada, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Tool-Rests, of which the following is a specification, the principle of the invention being herein explained and the best mode in which I have contemplated applying that principle, soas to distinguish it from other lnventions.
My invention relates to a tool rest, and particularly to that class which permit of a multiple adjustment.
The object is the provision of a rest suitable for use in connection with a rotary abrading member, toward which the edge of the tool can be firmly presented from any angle, distance or height desired.
The said invention consists of means hereinafter fully described and particularly pointed out in the claims.
The annexed drawings and the following description set forth in detail one mode of carrying out the invention, the disclosed mode, however, constitutin but one of various ways in which the principle of the invention may be applied.
In said annexed drawings Figure 1 is an end view of my tool rest. Fig. 2 is a side view of the same in its relation to a rotary abrading member. Figs. 3, land 5 represent perspective views {of certain details. Fig. 6 is a section on line VIVI of Fig. 2, looking in the direction of the arrows.

The lower part of this standard is looped upon itself, and preferably to form an elongated slotted portion j of integral construction. The upper part is similarly formed into a tubular portion best seen in Fig. 1. The lower slotted portion is further bent at an angle, as clearly appearing in Fig. 2.
