VENTILATING WINDOW-BLIND.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same To whom 'it may concern:
Be it known that we, HARRISON BERDAN and J oHN BANTLY, of Wayne, in the county of Wayne, and State of Michigan, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Window-Blinds; and we do declare that the following is a true and` accurate description thereof, reference being hadto theaccompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon, and being a part of this specification, inV which- Figure l is a front elevation of our improved blind, and
Figure 2 is a vertical section of the same.

The nature of this invention relates to an improved construction of window-blinds, and consists in forming themin two sections, the upper half being fixed Vin place, and provided ou its inner 'side with a wirecloth or peiiorated sheet-metal screen, to prevent the intrusion of insects when the upper sash isn lowered, while the lower half is provided with movable slats and Wires, and lowersy in grooves in the sides of the window frame.

Vhat We claim as our invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, isy l. Providing the upper stationary section B with an interior screen, C, in the manner and for the purpose setforth.
