To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, EDWARD J. QUIGLEY, a citizen of the United-Stat$, residing'at Newark, in the county of Essex and State of New Jersey, have invented newand use ful Improvements in Garments, of which the following is a specification.

' This invention relates to improvements in garments and more particularly to one-piece suits of underwear. In garments of this character it is usually customary to pr vide an opening in the back extending from the crotch to about the waist line.

It is the object of this invention to provide a closure for the back opening which is simple in construction and will afiord no discomfort to the wearer.

\Vhile the preferred form is illustrated upon the accompanying sheet of drawing, it is to be understood that minor detall changes may be made without departing from the scope of the invention.

Figure 1 is a view in rear elevation of this invention. the upper part or body of the garmentbeing cut away. Fig. 2 is a perspective view looking in upon theback of the garment, the front of the garment being opened and turned back to disclose the improved back closure.

The garmentillustrated opens from the neck down the front to the crotch. Another opening is provided down the innerside of one limb covering, however, this-latter opening does not form a part of this invention. As shown in Fig. 1 the back is provided with an opening which extends downward from about the waist line to a point sli htly abovethe crotch, the edges 1 and 2 of this open overlapping each. other. From thispoint the edges separate and extend downward in.- each lower limb covering following what would be the inner seam 'for a distance about half way from the crotch to the'knee and are then joined'to the edge at the beginning of the
